Assessor Comments
A good line of Weaned Angus steers, weighing 250kg - 314kg at assessment. These steers were weaned in early Feb in the yards with a weaner mix and cereal hay, since, they have had education through the yards and up paddocks and laneways. Predominatly out of Texas and Wattletop blood cows and sired by Te-mania and Texas bulls. An ideal lot to grow throughout winter and carry to a feedlot weight or potentially hold for a quality kill carcass. Weaners tended to run during assessment but blocked up well.
Note: 5 steers observed at assessment had slight white on their purse. 1 steer observed had white from the underside of his brisket through to his purse (as seen in photos). 2 steers had mild blue eye scarring.
