Weaners good to handle in paddock, yards and through drafting pound. Odd weaner did get slightly agitated when isolated during weighing & assessing, once let go into mob appeared settled. Weaners will further settle this week whilst being fed and handled in yards.

A quality 2 deck line of predominantly Santa & Santa cross weaners, comprising of 58 weaner steers & 12 weaner bulls. Weaners mostly exhibit good length, bone, shape, weight for age and have sound feet. Ideal to background for heavy feeder / slaughter markets. Weaners are mostly shiny in the coat and have done well to this point. They offer an ideal buying proposition given they are not carrying excess condition and will definitely bounce ahead given favourable seasonal conditions. Weaner bulls range from 269kg - 400kg (av 335kg full). 3 family brands / earmarks included. 5 weaners showing slight crest (hump) & 1 weaner with moderate hump (pic47). 57 red, 3 tan, 2 black/tan, 2 creamy, 2 black & 2 brindle in mob. 11 white markings on face/body. 9 steers 4”-5” horn & 1 steer freshly tipped. Several weaners mild fly bite or ring worm scarring. 1 steer moderate fly bite head/neck (pic 49/50) & 1 steer slight enlarged navel (pic51/52). **Delivered at vendors expense to Winton saleyards.**
