Assessor Comments
An annual sell off of surplus 5 1/2 year old poll merino breeding ewes. Ewes are Aug shorn, M&TS, A/M 2020 drop, Karawatha Park Blood. They are plain bodied ewes bred for easy care with good maternal characteristics weaning over 100% lambs this year. All ewes were mouthed at assessment with approximately 10 head missing 1 wing tooth and the remainder presenting with very sound mouths. They were also all bagged at assessment with any defects removed from mob along with the broken mouth ewes. Lambs were weaned at shearing but a few ewes still present with small bags due to being used to paddock train weaned lambs. A well-bred line of ewes that would suit joining back to the merino or to a terminal sire.
