Assessor Comments
A complete drop of 3.5 years old ewes part of flock dispersal. Ewes are A/M 2022 drop, Aug shorn, M&TS, Rices Creek bld. These ewes are very well bred breeding ewes in the prime of their life which come from a renowned self replacing breeding flock which are classed annually by Paul Cousins. Ewes are preg tested each year with dry sheep removed providing a highly fertile flock. With flock weaning percentages consistently over 100% with a 6 year average of 112% including 2025. In 2025 these 2022 drop ewes had 103% lambs weaned from them at shearing in early August, given the tough late 2024 and early 2025 season is a example of their fertility. Ewes are well bred large wool cutting types which have been bred to favour staple length, 6 month shearing and wool cut. Ewes are large frame and would suit either a self replacing Merino flock or joining to the terminal sire. Note Vendor also has 385 Red 2022 & 323 2021 drop ewes to be offered in same Jamestown Sale.
