Assessor Comments
Presenting a unique opportunity to purchase merino ewes from the the core of the Heatherlie flock that are all sired by quality Mumblebone rams. Due to shearer difficulty, the age groups are 2 different shearings. Majority of yellow tags are early Jan shorn and purple tags mid Dec shorn. The majority of the yellow tags are light in condition and haven't quite matured as hoped due to the extremely wet season and high stocking rate. Since swinging to Mumblebone rams, according to the vendors, there has been a notable difference in larger frame, plainer body & general ability to do in their flock. Odd longer toe amongst ewes which is to be expected in the wet seasonal conditions. Heatherlie is ZQ & RWS accredited. Please see the last 2 photos for the Heatherlie flock's performance in the MERINOSELECT database & the sire team ASBV average. There are another 3 lots from Heatherlie offered in the same sale carrying Mumblebone genetics.
