Assessor Comments
Offering on behalf of G & S Maddern is a line of 394 Poll Merino Wether lambs. These large framed lambs are November shorn and present in a forward condition with great growth for age averaging 43.2kg at assessment. Lambs are bred out of large frame SA bld Poll Merino ewes by Sandalwood Poll Merino Rams and are very true to type. This line has had every animal health treatment that they have required and have come along in leaps and bounds post shearing and after being placed on Barley stubbles. Please note that approx 10% of mob has scur. Please note lambs are currently still in a withhold for Startect/penicillin. Please note that approx 20% of lambs have had/been treated for dermatitis which has lifted from the skin but remains in the wool. Please note that approx 30% of this line experienced some fleece rot due to an unseasonably wet spring. This is an ideal line of lambs for any feedlot, restocker or wool growing operation that have performed well in the past and wont disappoint.
