Assessor Comments
These xbred wether lambs are bred from White Suffolk infused Maternal Composite Rams in the top 5% of the Maternal $ Index; with selection emphasis on early growth, worm resistance, eye muscle & constitution. They were marked on 3/9/22, using rings and Metecam as pain relief, marked at the 3rd joint on the tail to ensure good tail length. Lambs were weaned on 20/10/22, and were given their 2nd x 6 in 1 vaccine and a Cydectin weanergaurd drench. They were again drenched after shearing on 15/12/22. Lambs were grain trained on their mother’s prior to weaning with 4 x feeds of oats, and they have been trail fed 3 x per week with barley & beans since before xmas. All the hard work is done, and they are perfectly suited to go onto a stubble or into a feedlot situation. These wether lambs come highly recommended and will grow into very good trade weight lambs if given the opportunity.
