Assessor Comments
Offering 133 Boonerah blood ewe lambs presenting in store to forward store condition. The Glenample flock has consistently acquired the best genetics available over many years with a focus on ewe robustness, leading to excellent lamb surviveability and fertility. This is highlighted by a flock average of 150% lambs marked this year and low ewe mortality in a harsh coastal environment. Ewe lambs are up to date with vaccinations and had a recent drench. They are generally moderate statue, deep bodied, heavy boned sheep. These ewes are normally retained and grown out, but are now surplus to requirements and being offered to market. A terrific opportunity to purchase well bred ewe lambs that will mature into quality breeders (NOTE: vendor also offers 277 store lambs this sale & 409 young ewes 16-17 months in National Sheep Sale) (NOTE: Nutrien Timboon are offering around 3200 locally bred, late drop crossbred lambs this sale, both shorn & in the wool that may help trucking arrangements).
