Comment on Fat Score 1 Sheep
Lambs assessed as fat score 1s are fit & healthy which will travel anywhere following correct travel guidelines. They are only assessed as a fat score 1 due to age & maturity. Lambs since weaning have gotten dry in the tips putting a lot of effort in growing staple length instead of fat condition. Given correct nutrition & shearing lambs will flourish.

Assessor Comments
A very tidy line of March 23 drop, Unshorn, 2nd cross mixed sex store lambs that present in store to forward/store condition. These crossbred store lambs represent the top 50% of the drop that have been properly weaned, marked, vaccinated & drenched. Store lambs are usually retained for vendors crop but due to seasonal conditions are hitting the restocker market. Over recent years dependent on seasonal conditions/nutrition lambs have been targeted for the trade, heavy or even extra heavy markets always commanding high prices through Dubbo sale yards or over the hook. Lambs present with dry wool tips & 25% display minor dags which would be recommended to shear. OPPORTUNITY PRESENTS to purchase crossbred lambs that given the correct nutrition & shearing will flourish as they are bred to perform. Note: the 2nds will also be offered in the same sale.
