Assessor Comments
A lovely line of 1st cross mixed sex lambs ideal for the feedlotter or fattener. Specialist 1st cross breeder selling these lambs in forward store condition only to make way for some early drop lambs coming on. Shorn in May there is little more to do but watch them get fat. The majority of this lot weighed between 35 and 50 kgs at assessment with only 10 lambs lighter and 10 heavier lambs weighing up to 61kg. They averaged 42.5 kgs at assessment after 2 hrs in yards. They are healthy and have been trained to the feed bins. Note: 20 out of this lot were found back with their mothers (which had the rams with them) at shearing in May. Irrelevant if you were going to fatten the lot. Heavy end in these would be ready in couple of weeks.
