Opportunity knocks!! These ewe lambs offer the purchaser the opportunity to secure some very sound, quality poll Merino genetics. Hillcott have been selecting for above average (positive) growth, fleece weight, fat, muscle and staple length and the flock is highly fertile with average weaning for the past 5 years of 115%, 7kg plus wool cut of 19-19.5 micron. The wool test this year showing 16.3 mic, 56% yield and a 2.7kg wool cut at 6 months shearing and sheep only being 6 months of age. The flock is bred using the highest quality rams from the Ella Matta stud and these genetics are flowing through into the younger ewes on offer here. These ewes will mature into deep bodied dual purpose breeding ewes that already have very good structure and bone, suitable to a self replacing Merino operation or for termainal lamb production. These ewes should of bought with confidence.
