Assessor Comments
JD Schultz have been breeding Composite replacement ewes from Cashmore Oaklea Sires over the last 10 years. The initial selection criterea is based on fertility, where sires have been selected in the top 5% of that trait. Growth is the next target area, ensuring that lambs are able to be marketed as soon as practicable, season permitting.
This line of ewe lambs are the 2nd draft, slightly off the top draft in weight and frame. They still exhibit all the traits composite breeders are looking to source. True to type appearance, growth, shape & cover. At assessment, those weighed ranged from 27-36kg. These ewes will continue to grow & mature and will, on the right plain of nutrition, be ready to join in the early months of 2022.
Approx 6 long tailed lambs have been marked.
The ewes offer an opportunity for the buyer to secure properly bred replacements.
There is another line of 110 ewe lambs (tops) in this sale, to total 300 all up, or truck & trailer load.
Highly recommended ewe lambs!
