Assessor Comments
A quality line of vendor bred Poll Merino wether lambs. lambs are principally May '24 drop and are well grown and ready to finish for the trade. All lambs were put over the scales at assessment and anything 44kg plus was drafted off and put in another lot that is in this same sale. All the hard work is done as they are late December shorn, drenched and vaccinated and have also been grain trained. Hakrumun have been breeding Poll Merinos for 3 generations and select for good clean heavy cutting sheep while still maintaining great fertility. Noted at assessment that there was approx 10 lambs with wether horn which is obviously a throw back somewhere along the line. Lambs have never had a set back and are on the improve since trail feeding Faber Beans in the past few weeks. Lambs have plenty of frame to hang some weight on. At assessment lambs had a weight range of 32-44kg to avg 39.4kg after an overnight curfew. Vendor also has another lot of 257 wethers in the same sale that avg 48.3kg

Skin Comment
Good healthy pink skins. A % of lambs have mud below their hocks from where they have been drinking at the dam. Very odd lamb has some mud over its back.
Wool Comment
Clean white bright staple with good nourishment and little dust penetration. Nice bold crimp with plenty of guts to it. Would make top notch wool cutters if that is the way you want to go.
Vendor Bred
Yes

Vendor Comments
Annual sell off of wether lambs. Generally keep top 40% for another year but have decided they can all go this year. Grow into great wethers if given the chance. Wool is when they were shorn at 6 months.
