Assessor Comments
A neat line of 240 Dorset X Merino lambs, representing the lead draft of the vendor's annual turn-off. These April/May 2025 drop lambs are sired by high-indexing Gooramma Poll Dorset sires. Lambs have been weaned since mid-July due to tight seasonal conditions and have responded well, currently grazing an oats crop. They present in a fresh store to forward-store condition and were individually weighed above 25kg at assessment after a long curfew, with the bottom 20% of the draft removed. Lambs were imprinted onto grain while still on their mothers. A large percentage of the draft were market crutched prior to assessment to ensure buyer satisfaction. This is a genuine offering from a performance-focused operation, with lambs being sold due to the vendor needing to lock up grazing country. Ideal lambs to take onto heavier specifications.
