Assessor Comments
A very good line of 1st cross Wether Lambs account the breeder. These grower Lambs are from excellent Egelabra blood Ewes [60 plus years] and sired by Ian Gilmore /Smithston & Oakhurst blood sires. All the Lambs were individually weighed at assessment and range from 30 to 46 kg, 2 hours off feed at the start of weighing. The Lambs averaged 36.2 kg . They have been shorn in January and are ready to grow and fatten into good heavy trade or export weight Lambs with continued good nutrition and management practices. They have been taught to eat on bins with full ration of Faber beans. A small tail has been removed from the line at assessment. Odd Wether has some dry dags as a result of the supplementary feeding. Please note the vendor has the Ewe portion & a mixed sex line of younger lighter Lambs in this sale also.
