Assessor Comments
Offering 320 Dorset / Merino Mixed Sex Lambs. The lambs were 16kg live at assessment and were on their second day of weaning at assessment. These lambs are a two deck line of the seconds with a tail taken out of drier lambs. These lambs are all sired by Sovereign Poll Dorset rams and have been bought by repeat buyers each year that have been happy with their performance. The lambs have been fed dry lick supplement since marking out of lick feeders so are well trained to
come to feeders on their mum and would assume would be easier to get onto a ration for the purchaser. This line of lambs should rapidly improve with good feed conditions and have plenty of time to grow out for the new purchaser. Please note at assessment there were some dried up purses yet to fall off, some light weeping eyes and a few with mild scabby mouth. Also note there are another 8 decks of lambs in the sale today from the same vendor that may assist with freight.
