Assessor Comments
A line of Eddington ewe lambs, Ranging from 24-34kg to av 29.1kg full. They were dropped in Aug/Sep & weaned in late Nov and given a EweGuard and their second 6SB12 vaccination. All lambs have been OJD vacc and were shorn on the 18/12 and have been running on summer crop since. In 2022 all ewes joined averaged a conception rate of 201% and the flock marked 155% including ewe lam except this year where all green feed has gone due to dry conditions. Every year all sale lambs are finished and sold to the domestic trade at 22.5-24.5kg hscw Eddington has been using Boonerah genetics for the past 7 years, heavily selecting for fertility, growth and structure. They seem to grow a lot of wool given they were shorn in Dec. The last 3 years Eddington has used Wairere Romneys so a lot of the lambs have Romney through them but visually its very hard to pick. All really dirty lambs will be crutched prior to delivery.
