Assessor Comments
Prime lamb breeders, here is a rare opportunity to secure elite first-cross ewe lambs from a specially designed breeding program. The Norrie family has spared no expense to produce highly fertile ewes with a focus on high growth, high eye muscle and optimum fat cover. The vendors use these ewes in their own 2nd cross lamb breeding operation so have the unique ability to assess the performance of these ewes first-hand. Results from the retained April/May 2024 drop ewe lambs when joined in February 2025 (10-11 months old) saw 477 of the 528 head join (only 51 dry) and scanning at 152%. These ewes have been managed to balance natural growth and production, also with an emphasis on managing mature ewe weight to increase feed efficiency & allow for greater DSE/ha. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase the entire spring drop of the Norrie family's first cross ewe lambs, which would be ideal to grow out through winter and join to the ram of your choice in spring.
