Assessor Comments
Excellent quality line of individually weighed wether lambs 32-43kg at assessment. January shorn and August drop in the main. The total group of 850 lambs represents the second run of the drop with the lead and tail retained on farm. Lambs over the summer were in a feedlot to rest pastures. Recently, they moved to lucerne and are performing well. On a 14 day weigh at assessment lambs were averageing 270g/day growth. Lambs show good cover, present evenly and will meet heavy weights if shown the correct management. Lambs carry a clean bill of health and come from a well managed operation. Vendor showing genetic improvement through Poll sire selection and this shows through the quality of the lambs as seen in the photos. Note pigeon grass on polls through mob and whilst no significant bathurst burr was noted at assessment,it does grow in vendors country
