Boonerah composites have been used for the past 8 years, selecting for fertility, growth, structure and doing ability. Ewes are heavily culled annually on performace and structure. Wairere Romney rams were introduced 3 years ago.

900 ewe lambs split into 2 lines of 450. They were dropped in Aug/Sep 23 & weaned on 15/12 and given a EweGuard and their second 6SB12 vaccination. They averaged 32.7 at assessment, all lambs have been OJD vacc and were shorn on the 20/1 and have been running on summer crop since whilst getting barley 3 times per week. In 2023 all ewes joined averaged a conception rate of 201% and the flock marked 155% including ewe lambs. Eddington has been using Boonerah genetics for the past 7 years, heavily selecting for fertility, growth and structure. They have used some Wairere Romneys for the past 3 years, potentially half of these lambs have been sired by a Romney through them but visually its very hard to pick. All lambs will be crutched prior to delivery. Quality sound future breeders.
