A large line of well-bred 2nd x store lambs have become available for sale, due to the continuing dry conditions. Details are as below.
580 - bare shorn, July/August drop mixed sex lambs. Dohne texel-dorset cross from Illawong Dorset stud bloodlines and are out of a commercial flock of ewes. Vendor is selling due to the season and the lack of feed in the area. Lambs show in strong store to forward score condition and are perfect for the intending purchaser to put on feed. A tail of 15% have been removed leaving a good line of 580 Crossbred lambs. They range between 24kg - 44kg.
Please note: as has been previously mentioned, this property has a history of virulent foot rot, but has had a very stringent management program in place now for a number of years. All flocks are foot bathed on a regular basis. While these lambs have not had a foot inspection recently by qualified personnel, as far a we can tell, there is no sign of foot rot present. No signs of lameness
