580 July/August 23 drop Wether lambs. Present very fresh and on the do. Weighed the whole 1600 to end up with 1000 in the lead all 32 kgs plus, this run is all from 22 to 31 kgs. Only 20 lambs removed under 22kgs, shows the evenness of the drop. All vet treatments are done. Estimate there would be 2.6 to 2.8 kgs of wool (@1230 cents/Kg) with a value of $28 to $33 wool gross value on their backs. These lambs were all broken in the trail feed to pellets while still on ewes. Boxleigh Stud/flock is an RWS Accredited property, main focus on breeding genetics is their quality wools, fertility, early maturity & growth. Shears every 6 months and receives premiums in the wool market for their wool length, soundness and yields. Idea wether lambs to carry on shear and fatten for both Domestic/export markets or run on as woolgrowers and shear every 8 months and fatten for Hogget/Mutton market. * Please note vendor has another 2 runs of the 500 Wether lambs in this sale *
