Assessor Comments
Noonamah bred Boonoke blood tops of the April/May 26 drop merino wether suckers. These lambs are mulesed, have received a second vaccination have had Cyro lab fly treatment and are displaying decent weight for age. They are presenting fresh in condition and with continued quality feed will reach their full potential as wool cutters or for the kill. The season was a bit slow to get started but with late winter rain the value of the feed is second to none. The Noonamah maiden ewe flock is classed independently with a classing out rate of approx 40% annually. They are bred to fill wool bales (grown sheep average 7kg plus of 21 micron wool in a good season) and will grow out to be large framed. The top 2/3 of these lambs have been sold as suckers to the processors in 2023/2024. A 10% tail has been retained. Lambs are gaining weight and this hasn’t been applied to their delivery weight and they were assessed after a big 24 hour curfew. Therefore it would be expected that these lambs will be heavier come delivery. Delivery Thursday-Saturday and coordinating delivery with the balance is appreciated. Offering 1380 head to be delivered as a run out the gate at delivery.

Skin Comment
Fresh suckers skins throwing out a decent staple for age. Skins are predominately still fresh. Light Bathurst burr is possible on poll of some lambs as it does grow on the property. Lambs have light to medium trefoil burr and some roly poly present.
