This lot is the middle draft of the 2600 wether lambs. There will be 2 runs of 750 offered with delivery a run out the gate. The lead 740 of the wether lambs have been sold to an Ave weight of 35.9 kgs. Assessed 252 of this lot for the assessment. The vendor marked over 140% lambs from this property this year and the ewes carried the lambs with no supplementary feeding at all. With over 80mm over the property in the last month the herbage, saline and Mitchell grass have all freshened up and the lambs have freshened up to since been weaned. The Gunnegalderie Stud/commercial flock focus on breeding genetics been early growth, fertility, high muscle & fat data breeding a plain large frame ewe shearing every 6 months. On good feed, and current lambs prices going forward comes an opportunity to shear and grow these wether lambs out for the domestic trade or continue on as wool growers.
