800 Composite store lambs all weighed 37kg to 44kg to average 38.5kg. Lambpro genetics have been used for the past 5 years. They are late July/Aug drop, shorn in Jan and were drenched 2 weeks ago. They are running on summer crop and get wheat 3 times per week. Weight gain for the past month has averaged 300g/day. Normally they would be finished to 52kg however the summer crop is disappearing quickly and there is plenty more behind them. Some lambs have better cover than others and there is some skin variations which is normal in composites. Quality well bred lambs that will make export weights given time.
