Lambs are being weaned in feed yards with good quality oaten hay available.
Assessor Comments
Offering a 6 deck line of 890 Wether Lambs. These lambs averaged 21.4kg live at assessment after a big curfew in the yards, being handled the day prior. The lambs are are April-May drop 2021 and are unshorn with 32mm average wool length. Due to the dry conditions these lambs have been fed pellets while still on the ewe for around 6 weeks since marking so are trained for feeding. The lambs are mainly out of large frame Merino/Dohne Ewes and are sired by quality GRASS Merino rams so will grow out into big frame wethers on the right feed. This offering is the entire drop with a 3% tail removed prior to assessment. These wether lambs will not disappoint and only need good feed to power ahead. Please note the lambs were tagged the day prior to assessment so some blood was visible on the ears and a few horns were trimmed. Also please note some rings were still visible from marking in late June with dried purses still to drop.
