Assessor Comments
Offering in account of MN & AJ Maher , 176 Merino Wether lambs. These lambs are late September/ October 2020 drop. They are good medium frame for age/type and present in store to forward condition. This draft is the 2nd draft of the 2020 drop lambs, with the tops sold back in April and due to local seasonal conditions these lambs are coming onto the market a bit earlier than anticipated. A small tail of approx 10% have been drafted off these lambs leaving a nice even line of lambs weighing from 28-44kg liveweight. The Maher sheep are soft handling , bright wool types with a flock average around 18/19 micron. The lambs are currently running in a containment area and been fed a bean/barley grain mix as well as getting barley hay. Ideal line of lambs to carry through and fatten for promising winter lamb markets or keep as future wool replacement wethers. Note these lambs come from a non Mulesed flock.
