Complete Dispersal of the "Kilchamaig" breeding ewe flock with in excess of forty years of sheep breeding behind them. The flock originates from a Merryville base with more recent use/introduction of Kardinia Dohne sires to produce a generally plain bodied stretchy ewe. Offering two lots in this auction, with this lot representing the 2020 drop ewes and sired by Old Cobran Merino rams. This lot represents the tops of the drop of the young ewes which have never had the opportunity to rams, with the tail being removed from this mob prior to assessing. There was an odd ewe noted with lameness, but these sheep have been running in unseasonally green conditions with ample clover and soft damp conditions under foot over the past few months. Note lengthy overnight curfew prior to assessment. Vendor has another lot comprising the older ewes of the Kilchamaig flock, total offering of 530 ewes over two lots.
