Prime lamb breeders, here is an opportunity to secure outstanding, purpose-bred first cross ewe lambs. These lambs are from the same drop as the Norrie family's ewe lambs which topped the Forbes first-cross ewe sale 4 weeks ago at $350/head. The Norrie family has invested a great deal in breeding an elite first cross ewe, purchasing the very best New Armatree and Inverbrackie Border Leicester rams with a focus on growth, fertility and fat cover. Dams of these ewes are quality Pooginook blood Merino ewes. These ewes have been mulesed and are Gudair vaccinated. The vendor has bred these high-performance ewes to use in their own 2nd cross lamb breeding operation, but these ewes are surplus to requirements this year. The older sisters of these ewes from the 2021 drop had a conception rate of 94% from their first joining and scanned with 160% lambs. A very rare opportunity to secure performance bred ewes ready to join straight away. Vendor also has a 2nd draft of ewe lambs in this sale.
