Complete Dispersal of the "Kilchamaig" breeding ewe flock with in excess of forty years of sheep breeding behind them. The flock originates from a Merryville base with more recent use/introduction of Kardinia Dohne sires to produce a generally plain bodied stretchy ewe. Offering two lots in this auction, with this lot representing the older ewes sired by Kardinia Dohne rams out of Dohne/Merino x ewes. This lot represents the older ewes aged 3 years and above with all older ewes mouthed by the vendor as sound mouth ewes, with tail end ewes being removed from this mob prior to assessing. There was an odd ewe noted with lameness, but these sheep have been running in unseasonally green conditions with ample clover and soft damp conditions under foot over the past few months. Odd ewe noted noted with longer toes. Note lengthy overnight curfew prior to assessment. Vendor has another lot comprising the younger 2020 drop ewes of the Kilchamaig flock, total offering of 530 ewes over two lots.
