Complete dispersal of all scanned in lamb ewes bred on Thornhill. The vendor is retiring and leasing the property and so all the ewes have to go. These are the yellow tag, rising 2 year old classed in ewes, scanned in lamb to the Grassmere and Overlander merino rams. The recent years have been kind to them and they very well grown. They could use a little more cover and the vendor has commenced feeding recently to improve this. These young ewes are by the Grassmere and Overlander rams which are both larger framed blood lines with the genetic makeup to cut in excess of 7kgs of wool. There is close to 20 decks of SIL ewes in this dispersal and these young ewes come with our fullest recommendation. There are 660 in this mob being offered as a run out of the gate of 440 and 220.

Sheep are robust and healthy which is amplified in their skin colour.
Wool Comment
These are classed in joined ewe hoggets with a fairly clean staple of bright wool with a little crimp. The odd ewe does exhibit the smallest amount of demo on the outer wool, not on the skin. This is not present in the older ewes.

Bloodlines
Vendor took over the sheep originally as a Demondrille blood flock and has used Grassmere rams for 5 years and recently introduced Overlander blood.
Grazing Conditions
All sheep have been running on improved phalaris, lucern and clover pastures that have dried off recently. Also receiving hay and lupins and oats for a fortnight.
