What an opportunity to purchase a line of ewes with 98 years of breeding behind them. The foundation of Barton Hill Merino stud was in 1925 and Poll Merino's began in 1975.
The ewes are large frame, free wool growing, plain body sheep and are SIL to the Barton Hill Poll merino sires (an opportunity to retain ram lamb progeny from the coming lambing to continue the Barton Hill bloodline).
Ear tags in Near ear of ewes are sire indicator tags.
There are 3 further lots in this sale. another line of 144 Purple tag 2020 drop ewes & 2 lines of 123 & 120 Green tag 2019 drop ewes. Lines will be determined as "A run out the gate for both age groups".
