Assessor Comments
390 SIL merino ewes. Mixed age (3.5-5.5yr old), green, orange and white tags. Deloraine Dorsets rams went out on the 14/12 for 7 weeks, when scanned they were split into early and lates at 4 weeks. Majority of the ewes joined in the first 4 weeks. The early singles have no marks, early twins have a purple dot on the shoulder, and the last 3 weeks and are marked as, singles have a green dot on the rump and twins purple dot on their rump. There are 262 singles and 128 twins. Their condition score ranges from 2.5-3.0 with most around 2.6/2.7. They are getting fed 0.5kg of barley per day. Their wool averaged 19 micron and cut approx 5.1kg. They were surplus ewes to firgrove so they were moved next door to a lease block with the intention to breed terminals however the lease block has been sold so the ewes need to be sold.
