Assessor Comments
On offer is a line of Merino ewe lambs and hoggets, September 2020 drop. These young ewes come from a well known flock based on Darriwell blood for the past 38 years and classed annually by Russell Jones. They are good framed, heavy cutting sheep with an adult flock average of 20.5 micron, and only rams are introduced to the property. The Gowing's flock has had much success in flock ewe competitions over many years including the Ted Little Memorial Trundle Merino Ewe competition. A good opportunity to purchase young ewes which are shorn and should jump ahead to join later in the spring. Noted approx. 10 ewes with scur/light horn and 1 ewe which has had some dermo. 2 ewes with slightly undershot jaws. Vendor also has a small line of 2.5 year old ewes of the same description on offer in this sale.
