A line of 2018 and 2019 drop flock ewes out of the Lucernbrae Stud, situated just outside of Callington. The Vendors are undergoing a flock reduction in their operation to ease their workload over the coming years. This is a very reluctant sale, as years of effort and dedication has gone into these sheep. The same vendors will have another line of 2018 drop ewes in this same sale. These ewes have been classed as "Special Wool" and "wool" categories, under the SRS guidelines. They have been sampled mouthed as strong and sound, and any suspect udders have been taken out. A small tail has also been drafted out on frame size. They will present as mainly large frame ewes in forward store to forward condition, with an 80 mm start in the jacket. This particular mob has been running together as a unit, as per the mating programme, but some 2019 drops have been retained. The Lucernbrae Stud has ceased all mulesing since 2007. A quality line of wool ewes.
