Assessor Comments
A line of mixed age Merino ewes, over half being green tags (1.5 years old), with the age break-up listed above. These ewes are Darriwell blood and October shorn, showing good frame and wool traits. The younger green tag ewes are not carrying as much weight as the older ewes at this stage. The great majority of the ewes are vendor bred, apart from the blue tags which were bought in as lambs from a Darriwell blood flock ex Wellington. The blue tag ewes (5.5 years old) were all mouthed and had good blocky sound mouths, any broken mouths were removed. Ewes are SIL at 164% to Kanya and Bygo White Suffolk rams, to lamb at the start of July for 6 weeks. Good opportunity to purchase a line of ewes with a good jacket and SIL with a good percentage of lambs on board, ready to start producing for you. Noted 1x ewe with long hooves on one hind foot, will be trimmed prior to delivery.
