118 Merino Ewes being offered as part of the final stage dispersal of the “Dalfield” flock. Classed in breeders, Aug/Sept 2018 drop consisting Bogo and Kalaree Poll bloodlines. Ewes are classed to achieve a flock that has soft bright wool and good structure. Ewes were shorn and drenched with trifecta on the 22/12/2021. Ewes cut 5.8kgs @ 17.8-18.3 micron & yielded 70.9-72.8% in 2020. Moderate mulse using trisolfen, Gudair vaccinated and bred from a flock that has been OJD vaccinating since it’s purchase, 15 years ago. The Dalfield ewes are bred to have a soft, bright, white tablelands type wool with good fertility. Dry ewes sold annually along with 6 week joining to improve fertility of the flock. 1 score ewes in assessment with lambs only weaned off 22nd Dec along with being shorn. NB: Dalfield’s other lots of classed ewes in same sale.

Further Information: As with most flocks on the tablelands area, scald can present itself in the right conditions. Due to the wet year that Dalfield has experienced, the flock has been walked through a zinc sulphate foot bath each time they come to the yards.
Feet were inspected at assessment. Inspected 5 head (4%)
Comments: Clean feet, but some sheep in the mob have long toes due to running on good Crookwell country in an extremely wet year.
