Comment on Fat Score 1 Sheep
Many of the fat score 1 sheep have just had lambs weaned but there are also some that are showing their age. They would handle travel over a moderate distance but a long trip would be detrimental to some.

Three head noted with some brown markings which indicate some Damara possibly way back in the breeding.

3.5 - 6.5 Years
Age Breakup: Exact age breakup difficult to determine accurately as quite a few of the older ewes had lost their original tags. All of this line was mouthed. There were 76 sound mouth, 34 broken mouth, and 14 worn down or gummy.
Assessor Comments
A good to fair quality line of mixed age Dorper ewes, most of which had lambs weaned off them at assessment. Station mated to Dorper rams, the season has been excellent. These are the ewes dropped in 2018 and earlier. Tag colours were not counted due to many missing, but all were mouthed. See age information for the break up. Also in this sale are 158 x 2020 drop ewes and 246 x 2019 drop ewes - all have been station mated. Care has been taken to remove any obvious faults, however there is the normal wear and tear to feet and udders etc in line with age. The last three photos shown are the lambs which have just been weaned off these ewes.
