To be offered are 130 NSM Merino Ewe Hoggets. These young ewes are from an outstanding flock of Roseville Park merino blood ewes and classed every year by the principal of that stud, Mr Mat Coddington. Mat recently featured a photograph of the Hemsley’s hogget ewes on the front of his annual ram sale catalogue. The Hemsley’s flock of 2,3 and 4 year old ewes this year weaned 110% sucker lambs in July (the ewes were not scanned) and they produce over 7 kilos of 18.5 micron wool annually. The whole drop of 532 whether lambs of the 2024 drop sold earlier this year averaged 29.68 kilos D/W. This is an opportunity to purchase a small but excellent quality line of young ewes to join to your choice of ram. The Hemsley’s 4.5 year-old ewes have been sold to the same purchaser for the last 20 years to breed top quality first X ewe lambs.
