Presented are 135 Border Leicester X Merino Ewes SIL to Poll Dorset Rams. These 5 year old ewes (2016 drop) are proven mothers with each ewe previously raising a lamb successfully. Averaging 65.5Kg at assessment, these 1X ewes are of medium to larger frames and are in good healthy condition to lamb down once again. These ewes are Gullen Gamble Merino and Kildara Glen Border Leicester blood and are in lamb to the Gilmore Poll Dorset rams. Ewes were joined for just under 7 weeks and are due to commence lambing in the 3rd week of march. Ewes are October shorn and average 1.5 inches of wool length. Ewes have been dipped and vaccinated prior to joining and drenched mid January. A great opportunity to secure a line of vendor bred 1X ewes SIL to Gilmore Poll Dorset rams at 157% for a autumn lambing. Bound to produce desirable 2X progeny to target trade weight and export weight markets. Buyers please note vendor has 2 lots of 1X ewes SIL to Poll Dorset rams in the sale.
