158 quality young 1st X ewes scanned in lamb to Marocara Poll Dorset rams. Ewes are only 14-15 months old and have their whole lives in front of them. They are bred out of the vendors own Boonooke blood ewes and sired by Cadell blood Border Leicester rams. These ewes were joined over a 5 week period from the start of March. Ewes have been crutched but would still benefit from being shorn prior to lambing down. Odd ewe has been mulsed as it was in born in the Merion flock and mulsed by mistake. At scanning there was 74 multiples and 84 single fetus' detected. These ewes show length with good barrel depth and body shape to produce top quality 2nd cross lambs into the future. at assessment ewes had a weight range of 50-76.5kg to avg 62.9kg. Top quality ewes that you can buy with confidence.
