A fantastic opportunity to secure a line of one mark WA bred ewes that are scanned in lamb to 'Coledale' Poll Dorset rams. Rams went in on the 30th of Jan for 7 weeks and scanned up as 78 singles & 82 multiples (blue dot). All ewes were mouthed as sound prior to assessment, with all broken mouths removed from lot. They have a handy average of 55 mm of wool on their back and they got a full crutch on the morning of assessment. Whilst being crutched, all ewes were noted to have sound udders/teats as well. Ideal article to get a good percentage of lambs on the ground and a valued fleece of wool off the ewe. Please note the big lock up due to crutching the ewes prior to weighing, which is reflected in the weights.
