Assessor Comments
An excellent line of 170 x Sep/ Oct 2019 - 2023 Drop Merino Ewes. Part dispersal of spring lambing classed ewes. The ewes are in forward store to forward condition and have recently been shorn. An excellent opportunity to purchase classed, healthy ewes that are suitable for a merino or terminal joining. Brokea Pastoral pride themselves on breeding excellent wool producing sheep of large frame and high fertility. All ewes at Brokea are scanned annually, dry's and ‘lambed and lost’ ewes are sold. A unique opportunity to purchase Cottage Park blood classed ewes. Recognised locally for superior wool cut and quality as well as a reputation for fertility, the Brokea sheep will perform well for prospective buyers. Brokea will offer another group of maiden ewes in today's sale. The balance of classed breeders will be offered SIL to Poll Dorsets in June. These ewes are unjoined as they were to be mated to merinos, however the decision to sell has been hastened enterprise change.
