Assessor Comments
172 rising 4 & 5 year old breeding ewes scanned in lamb at 136%, showing 109 singles and 63 multiples. These ewes are NOV-DEC joined to Camborn bld White Suffolk sires. Note that at pregnancy testing, it was determined that most ewes appear to have met the rams in December. These ewes were purchased from a well renowned self replacing poll merino flock in Far Wesr NSW, and have been treated as self relplacing breeding ewes, which were sold recently as a part dispersal due to ongoing dry seasonal conditions. These proven breeders present as a profitable investment, with an impressive pregnancy scanning result, and 5 months head start on their wool clip. Given feed, these ewes will go on to rear well bred terminal lambs.
