Most ewes showed shortened worn teeth but none missing. Refer photo for example. Ewes in very good condition suggesting mouth no issue.
Assessor Comments
A very well presented draft of 4.5yo Boonerah blood composite ewes presenting in primarily prime condition. The Glenample flock has consistently acquired the best genetics available over many years with a focus on ewe robustness, leading to excellent lamb surviveability and fertility. This is highlighted by a flock average of 150% lambs marked this year and low ewe mortality in a harsh coastal environment. Ewes are Boonerah blood, 2021 drop, are up to date with vaccinations including OJD & 6-in-1. They are generally moderate statue, deep bodied, heavy boned sheep. They have been mouthed sound (most worn), udder checked and are sound. These ewes are genuine breeders, having scanned in lamb each year, however due to a period of inclement weather some lost lambs this season. Being surplus to requirements, an opportunity to purchase ewes with quality genetics, bred to perform, in top condition (NOTE: vendor offers 3 lots/ 3 age groups this sale totaling 126 ewes, (2019, 2020 & 2021 drop)).
