Age Breakup: Age Break up was estimated from the Percentage of ages assessed in the sample group assessed. 30% - 2015 drop ( 5.5 yrs ) . 26% - 2016 drop ( 4.5 yrs ) . 23% - 2017 drop ( 3.5 yrs ) & 21% - 2018 drop ( 2.5 yrs ).
Assessor Comments
190 - Merino ewes 2.5 to 5.5 years NSM - August shorn - presenting in healthy forward store to fresh condition. Ewes are Spring 2015 to 2018 drop identified with colour indicative NLIS tag. Please note age break up is an estimation based on the percentage of each age group in the sample assessed. A random sample of mouths were observed during assessment, of the mouths sampled all were noted as sound mouth. Ewes were crutched 1 week prior to assessment. At assessment a small number of ewes were removed from consignment due to lameness/ foot abscess, odd ewe noted to be recovering ( see video ) All ewes will be assessed & any further lameness will be removed prior to delivery. Note ewes were drenched as 2 separate mobs. Approx 5% of ewes in consignment have been mulsed ( purchased ewes ) - remaining balance are unmulsed. 1 ewe noted to old fly strike note with shorter skin. Sale represents an opportunity to purchase a line of Merino ewes to take on & join to ram of preference.
