Assessor Comments
Tidy line of mainly red and yellow tag Dorper ewes 50 to 80 kg ave 65 kg with fresh conditioned Dorper lambs at foot 12 to 18 weeks. See assessment for ewes age breakup, PIC tags were counted on the 75 assessed ewes as a guide to age of ewes. See photos for sample of teeth as per tag colour, the ewes were not mouthed other than for photos. Ewes are vendor bred and represent the younger ewes to complete this flock dispersal. The lambs had a vaccination and drench at marking, tails have been left on. Lamb weights were from 26 to 44 kg and averaged 34 kg Vendor has been breeding Dorper sheep for 20 years. Recent ram purchases were from Netanya Dorpers and Prieska dorpers WA, the vendor has also introduced rams from specially selected ewes on the property. There was some White Dorper influence in the vendor bred rams. The ewes and lambs are for genuine sale and provide an opportunity to acquire younger ewes with a lamb at foot that are well on the way to marketing.
