Assessor Comments
Buyers, presented for sale is the annual draft of Chatsworth Pastoral bred Border Leicester X Merino ewe lambs and hoggets. A total of 400 head being offered in 2 lots of 200 as a run out of the gate. Averaging 48Kg at assessment, these maiden ewes are continuing to mature into the ideal 1X ewe to produce desirable progeny to suit both the trade and export lamb markets. Chatsworth Pastoral 1X progeny are sired by Retallack Border Leicester Rams, out of top draft, Riverina bred, medium to large framed, fertile, plain bodied Merino ewes. These ewes have had all of their health treatments including the Gudair vaccination at marking. August/September 2021 drop. Late September shorn. Ewes display clean open faces and predominately medium frames. Given the opportunity on hardened feed and drier weather conditions, these young ewes will quickly bounce away into large framed, 60+Kg sheep. Well bred maiden ewes that are a suitable addition to any breeding or trading operation.

Stock History
Chatsworth Pastoral have been using Retallack genetics for over 10 years purchasing rams annually at their sale. They have also been purchasing top draft Riverina bred Merino ewes from Jerilderie, Deniliquin and Hay breeders sale during this period.
