Very good framed ewe lambs which are exhibiting the benefits of carefull selection under the guidance of Jim Watts and the introduction of Gullengamble genetics in 2012.

These are a lovely draft of medium to large framed merino ewe lambs They are in great order, carrying soft handling, well nourished 2 inch fleece. Under the guidance of Dr.Jim Watts the Coppock family have developed a flock of plain bodied sheep which are not mulesed and are never jetted. The ewes this year have been wigged when crutched. This is not normal practice and was only done this year as the ewes were to be placed on the market in order to reduce the family's work load. These are ewes which could be retained as breeders in a merino wool program or large enough in the frame to join to meat breed rams, as mature ewes. Note :- 2 &3 year old,as well as 4 & 5 year old ewes will also be offered in this sale. It represents a great opportunity to purchase 645 young ewes of the same breeding. Thus capitalising on years of breeding focusing on increasing frame, wool cut without compromising micron.

Very clean, bright, white, and well nourished wool without any evidence of the extremely damp conditions experienced since April this year. Will probably test 16micron at shearing.

The family purchased CFA ewes from leading breeders in the New England in 1996. The flock was then classed by Dr. Jim Watts until his death.
