Comment on Fat Score 1 Sheep
A small percentage of ewes are presenting as fat score 1, with the majority in 2 score condition. Ewes appeared strong and healthy at assessment, and have sacrificed some condition by putting everything into their lambs as affirmed by the sappiness of the lambs at foot. Ewes should travel well, if correct trucking guidelines are followed.

A very good quality line of 2 year old FX Border Leicester ewes, with 283 sappy 2nd cross lambs at foot, sired by GILMORE Poll Dorset, & KURRAVIEW White Suffolk rams. These ewes have been properly grown out, reaching their full development, before being joined & lambing down their first drop of top quality, 2nd cross lambs with export weight potential. Bred from large framed Merino ewes, & sired by DARJEELING & RANGOON B/L rams, they present as even, true to type, stylish ewes, that are doing a terrific job of nourishing their lambs, despite limited available paddock feed. PLEASE NOTE, this mob was 100% scanned in lamb, however there is a small percentage of ewes in the mob that have lost their lamb some time between scanning and lamb marking. 1 ewe noticed with small scurs, & a couple of ewes present with shorter wool. Post-breeder EID tags have been administered in the ewes, providing for a buyer bonus, with mandatory EID's just around the corner. Ewes come highly recommended
